En la selva hay mucho por hacer. 50 años MSSA
Collaborative exhibition design project developed for En la selva hay mucho por hacer. 50 años MSSA, a major exhibition commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende and curated by María Berríos.
Bringing together more than 110 artworks, archives, books, and graphic materials distributed throughout the museum, the exhibition revisits the institution’s founding principles through the notion of a permeable museum without fixed boundaries between inside and outside. Drawing from the concept of the “anti-museum,” the project explores collective learning, accessibility, and cultural participation through intergenerational forms of display.
The exhibition unfolds across the entire building, creating unexpected encounters between artworks, archival documents, publications, and contemporary perspectives. Through a sequence of interconnected environments, the project invites visitors to navigate the collection as an open field of relationships, foregrounding solidarity, shared knowledge, and the social role of cultural institutions.
