Galería Áreas Protegidas
Exhibition design for the Galería Áreas Protegidas de Chile, a permanent exhibition space developed by Centro Cultural La Moneda, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and Austral Patagonia to promote awareness of Chile’s protected natural areas and their environmental, cultural, and social significance.
As the first permanent platform in Chile dedicated to this subject, the gallery brings together exhibitions, educational content, and public programs focused on biodiversity, conservation, and sustainable development. The project translates complex environmental issues into an accessible cultural experience, encouraging broader public engagement with the country’s natural heritage.
Rather than presenting conservation as an abstract concept, the gallery makes environmental knowledge visible within a public cultural setting, connecting scientific information, territorial narratives, and ecological challenges through a space dedicated to learning, reflection, and environmental stewardship.
