LaCápsula — Archivo de las Algas
Exhibition design for Archivo de las Algas, developed for LaCápsula, a travelling exhibition platform created by Fundación Mar Adentro to foster dialogue between contemporary art and scientific knowledge.
Conceived as a modular and adaptable exhibition system, LaCápsula inhabits a variety of cultural venues across Chile, adjusting its spatial configuration and contents to different contexts and audiences. For this edition, the project explores the ecological, scientific, and cultural significance of Chile’s marine algae through archival material, scientific records, and visual narratives.
The exhibition translates complex environmental knowledge into an accessible and engaging experience, encouraging visitors to discover the diversity of marine ecosystems and their relevance to both local communities and broader ecological processes. Through its itinerant nature, the project expands opportunities for cultural and scientific engagement beyond traditional exhibition spaces.
