Centro Cultural BancoEstado Valparaíso
Exhibition design for Centro Cultural BancoEstado Valparaíso, a cultural space established within BancoEstado’s historic headquarters in Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The project transforms the upper floor of a century-old institutional building into a platform for art, heritage, and public engagement. Bringing together permanent and temporary exhibitions, the program connects visual arts, photography, literature, and environmental education through a curatorial framework rooted in the cultural identity of Valparaíso and its relationship to the broader history of Chile.
The exhibition design responds to the architectural character of the building while supporting a diverse range of collections and narratives. Through a flexible spatial system, the project establishes a dialogue between historical context, contemporary interpretation, and public access, positioning the center as a new cultural landmark within the city’s heritage landscape.
