Centro Cultural La Moneda Signage System
Design of an institutional wayfinding system aimed at transforming how visitors read, navigate, and understand a complex cultural building.
Rather than addressing signage as a layer of visual information, the project approaches wayfinding as a cognitive and spatial system that structures the visitor experience. It responds to conditions of disorientation and fragmented circulation by integrating environmental graphics, spatial cues, and information hierarchies into a coherent navigational framework.
The proposal frames accessibility not as compliance, but as legibility across different modes of perception. By clarifying spatial relationships and reducing cognitive load, the system enables more autonomous and inclusive forms of navigation, positioning wayfinding as an invisible infrastructure that shapes how cultural space is understood and inhabited.
